We have a very active Youth Department under the leadership of Jonathan and Bethany Moore. Beginning February 25, 2010, the the Youth Department will have weekly Thursday night youth services. They also attend the annual National Youth Congress, Holiday Youth Convention and district Youth Rallies as well as participate in extracurricular activities such as ice skating, game nights and field trips. The teens are striving to win souls for the Lord and participate in an outreach program. We are excited about the Lord and what He is doing for our young people!
"Our mission as is to increase the understanding of the youth of Moriah Apostolic Church concerning the gospel of Jesus Christ. We not only want to increase their knowledge of the scripture but we also want to teach them how to dissect the scripture. It is imperative, especially in today's times, that young people obtain the necessary skills to defend and define their faith. One of our greatest obstacles is to be able to teach them, in the short amount of time we have with them, to to effectively witness and reach other young people.
Our mission is not just to increase the their understanding; but to teach them how to use their knowledge to win others to Christ. The knowledge that they will find in the Bible, combined with the realization of their mission, will accelerate their growth in the Lord.
The apostle Paul said, “I must become all things to all men to win some!” So we must become all things: listeners, givers, teachers, preachers, tithers, mothers, fathers, drivers, and tellers. We must be tellers of the gospel.
We can’t afford the tragedy of losing a single young person due to a lack in direction, preparation, or dedication. One young person has their whole life to affect thousands!"
