Moriah Apostolic Church (M.A.C.) is a vibrant, growing Sunday School with classes for all ages! Under the direction of our Sunday School Superintendents, James and Bonnie Lucas, we have grown from 30 to almost 90 students in the last year and a half! Our teachers are dedicated, experienced, enthusiastic and committed to teaching your child Biblical truths. We strive to provide a fun learning atmosphere that children can relate to in theme-decorated, colorful and exciting classrooms.
"Kidz Praise" is the children's choir for ages 4 years through the 5th grade. We have over 40 children participating in the choir and they sing for the adults the last Sunday of each month.
"Super Sunday" is the held during the months with 5 Sundays. During Super Sunday there are puppets, singing, prayer, lessons and crafts. We may also have “special” visitors on Super Sunday. You never know who may show up – Sis. Priscilla “Pursely” and her many purses of life lessons, a real firefighter or surprise visitors! During warm weather our lesson and activity takes place outside! In 2008, the children participated in their own Olympics and this summer they will be participating in “Survivor” Sunday.
“Fall Festival” is sponsored by the Sunday School each year in September or October. There are games, prizes, food, clowns, activities for all ages! The Decatur Township Fire Department will be with us again this year with fire prevention information to teach your children fire safety. You won’t want to miss this!
“Vacation Bible School” will be in June 21st-25th this year! Join us for “Sir Oliver's Song” where the children will learn the Ten Commandments with puppets, music and skits. Our closing program will be on Sunday, June 27th. Sir Oliver will be here to sing and help the children tell the meaning of the Ten Comnmandments. You won't want to miss this!
"Power Hour" is every Tuesday night beginning at 7:00 p.m. The children, ages 4 years through 5th grade, are learning about the Bible through activities, crafts and games.
“M.A.C. 200” is the annual Bike-A-Thon held in May, right before the Indy 500! The children take pledges from family and friends then bring their bicycles to the church for a day of “racing.” We have a concession stand that serves hot dogs, drinks, chips and candy! The winner receives a trophy and all children receive participation certificates.
“Kidz Konnection” is a new program the Sunday School is instituting this year where we will having Saturday activities for the children of Moriah and our neighborhood. There will be puppet plays, Bible lessons, songs, crafts and games.
